Touch Screen Based Web Applications
When recently asked to help streamline the operations at a major thoroughbred sales agency, we opted to implement a web based touch screen solution. This provides our client with critical customer data, in real time, and a scalable server-based system that will grow at pace with their client list.
Medical Practice Management System
Using the power and flexibility of Ruby on Rails, Voltaic Commerce recently implemented and deployed a
complete web-based management system for a multiple location medical provider. The many features of this
application include: the tracking of treatments provided, medicare, medicaid and private insurance
billing, a robust user and permissions system and a host of time saving calculation tools to simplify
the complicated landscape of medical practice management. This application runs in a windows environment
with SQL Server 2000 as the back end.
Benefit Management System
For several years, Voltaic Commerce has been the development and support shop for an enterprise grade employee benefits management system that is currently used to track the benefit enrollment of over 20,000 employees across the United States. This relational database keeps historical changes to employee benefit information, provides a wide variety of custom reporting features and integrates with 6 other enterprise systems to give our client the power to grow without the burden of increased payroll expenses.
Online Commerce
We scoured the earth to find a shopping cart system that would satisfy our clients' disparate needs, and fell short of finding an adequate solution, so we built our own! Our rails based e-commerce platform draws upon our years of experience in the online retail and SEO universe. The cart's tagged based navigation and flexible product attributes system make it a breeze to customize and deploy.
Online Document Retrieval System
Searching through millions of scanned documents for anything in particular can be a daunting task without the benefit of powerful software. Our online document searching and retrieval platform utilizes high-end OCR and the muscle of Lucene to provide full text searching over millions of scanned records in less than a second. We developed this solution for our client, the Document Imaging and Storage Company, LLC.
Table Ware™ reservation system
To augment the already rich feature set of the Dinerware point of sale system, Voltaic Commerce has developed a Ruby on Rails and AJAX based restaurant reservation system. This software is unique in that it offers very robust "desktop" features in a browser-based solution. This allows a busy restaurant host or manager to take reservations, access table maps and get real time covers from any computer on the internet.
